VERTIGO M2

from US$1,862.00

UNTIL MAY 15: 30% DISCOUNT AND FREE SHIPPING IN SEPTEMBER 2024

The Vertigo M2 builds on the success of our M1 advanced prototype, is lighter and also allows for future electronic upgrade to Model S or E.

The fastest way to change a lens, VERTIGO is sealed against dust and moisture, allowing you to swing between EF mount lenses with the flexibility of a zoom. The Vertigo M2 is a manual only (non-electronic) so your lenses may not behave the way you expect.

The only lens turret for modern cinema cameras and the world’s first removable cinema lens turret.

Please note that the appearance of the shipped units is subject to change.

  • Vertigo accepts most manual-focus EF mount lenses within the following specifications:

-A maximum outside diameter of 92mm.

-A maximum weight of 2.5 lbs each

    -A maximum length of 130mm / 5 inches

    NOTE:

-Longer/ heavier lenses may be supported via a 15mm rod base (not included).

-The M1 does NOT provide an electronic connection to the lenses, so they may not operate as you expect (ie. electronically controlled iris, AF and IS will not operate).

-EF lenses with outside diameters greater than 93mm (ie 114mm Canon CN-E, Zeiss CP2) may be mountable, but only singly, or paired with lenses of smaller diameter.

-Extremely wide lens-bases (at EF mount end) may not fit. Canon 85mm 1.4 do fit. We have’t yet found a lens that won’t fit, but you might :)

-If it looks wrong, don’t mount it.

-Remember that lenses on the VERTIGO may “see” each other, so don’t plan on using a short 8mm with a long 200mm. Select wider lenses (20mm or less) that are the same physical length (or longer) than your other lenses and you should be safe.

  • 15mm Rod Baseplate

Vertigo requires a 15mm rod lightweight-spacing base that accepts our 15mm rod bracket and does not project forward of the camera’s E-mount. See more details here.

We recommend the Bright Tangerine Leftfield system and Vertigo customers can save 15% on their products.

    Handheld

For tips on handheld builds and operation see our Tips & Tricks here.

The width of the Vertigo requires the stock Sony grip to be offset.

We recommend the use of a 50mm rosette extension and Shape’s grip extension.

For the FX6, a short extension (ie Shape’s adapter) may keep your camera build more compact if you don’t want to use a full extension.
